I don't go to Target too often (the closest one is about 40 minutes away) but the few times I have over the past couple months, I noticed that more and more things were catching my eye. And I started to recognize that most of the pieces I was drawn to were part of this new Threshold collection. So I did some research yesterday and found this great little interview with one of Target's Vice Presidents on the Threshold line--you can check it out here. It's really terrific what Target is trying to accomplish, I think--they have created high quality, affordable pieces that are at once fun and stylish and unique while remaining practical. Well-made, not too expensive, and really adorable? It doesn't get much better than that.
I rounded up some of my favorite Threshold pieces for you to browse through today. Notice the gorgeous colors! Of course there are lots of neutral pieces available too but I suppose I was feeling colorful today, as these were the ones I was most attracted to. Don't some of these remind you of Anthropologie (which is obviously a much more pricey store)? Also, a lot of these pieces happen to be on sale, so if you're looking for something specific for your home do check out the links!
p.s. This Friday is my blog's one year anniversary! I have something pretty special planned, so make sure to check back on Friday! I'm so thankful for all of you loyal readers.
I love the Threshold line (also..TJ Maxx & Marshalls are favorites of mine too).
ReplyDeleteSooooo with you on this! Anything I used to get from "The Targets" appealed to me 10x more in the store. But I recently found some great items from Threshold including SUPER soft white towels for our powder room and some white vases for our master bath. I still, generally, wander the Target aisles and come out emptier than most, but Threshold's delivered a few times!
ReplyDeleteI drool over the tufted ottoman every single time I go in....
ReplyDeleteYes! So cool that you've discovered it too. I got some Threshold towels recently too, they're amazing!!
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous is it?! And practical too, it has some storage space inside :)
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than getting designer stuff at a discount!
ReplyDeleteI always gaze adoringly at the Threshold line of decor whenever I visit Target. I've yet to buy anything yet, but that's not because I don't like the merchandise. We just aren't in desperate need of home decor items. I'm off to read that interview with the Target VPs now. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree! I noticed that there are some very nice things in the Threshold line, and it's nice to be able to have nice things without spending a ton of money. Bargain shopping all the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed the interview :) I thought it was interesting to read about the vision behind the line. We don't really need anything either, so I didn't buy any of these items, but I'm really drooling over a few of them!
ReplyDeleteLove bargain shopping, especially when you know you're getting great quality stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I heard about Threshold was in a Tweet with a photo of the Wellsbridge Dinner Set and the caption read "Well, Anthropologie, Target's giving you a run for your money!" I love this line - a few of the smaller pieces in my apartment are Threshold (I actually have that rope basket!) and I'm definitely planning the bigger pieces Jon and I will buy from the collection when he gets here! I especially love that X stool - I saw it in this styled entryway image but painted! http://pinterest.com/pin/181058847492386023/
ReplyDeleteLove that rope basket!! I almost got it the other day but held off. And those coral-colored X stools are gorgeous against the white and gold in the room. You'll have to keep me posted if you buy anything big in the Threshold line!
