Just The Thing

Well, this weekend was exactly what I needed. In so many ways.

Time with my brother (one of my favorite people in the world). Georgia air, which, believe it or not, is more refreshing than Alabama air. Walking down the street for morning tea and bagels--how I've missed city living! By contrast, the gorgeous countryside and idyllic little town. That incredible caramel cake.

Laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Great deals and no sales tax weekend (and beelining it to the clearance sections with my brother--we're birds of a feather). Really wonderful conversation with two best gal friends. Handing off my precious wedding veil to my friend to borrow for her special day. Admiring her engagement ring for the first time.

Capturing some great photos and moments (more to come later). Really fun chats. Loving the fact that siblings can be best friends. Georgia peaches and burrata cheese. Thrift store finds.

Coming home to a clean house, a freshly-delivered pizza, and my favorite, sweet husband.

A midnight ice cream trip. I know it's blurry and dark, but our smiles say it all!

I feel restored, refreshed, and so happy. I think God understood just what my heart and mind and soul have been craving the last few weeks and He wrote an itinerary and bottled up a magic potion and graciously handed it all to me this weekend.

I'm so very thankful.
